God Will Meet Your Needs
Paula Rummels of Rock Island, IL, USA

And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to [the] riches in glory in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19

During my time as an undergraduate student, I was broke all the time. Although I worked two part-time jobs, I still struggled financially. Even though my resources were limited and my family was six hours away, I had everything I needed: a place to live and food every day. Even with my car breaking down every other month, I always had transportation to class and work.

It was a very tough time, but God took care of me and made sure I had everything I needed-not wanted, but needed. I thank and praise God because God’s word is true. God truly is a provider and will meet all of your needs. Every day since I graduated from college in December 1993, every one of my needs has been met.

If you ever question God’s faithfulness, close your eyes and think about what God has already done. God can and will do it again. Praise God’s name forever.

“Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness” (Psalm 150:2).

Prayer Phrase

I am about to do a new thing, now it springs forth… (Isaiah 43:19).

Spiritual Practice

A New Thing

Breathe deeply and listen within. Where is the Spirit doing a new thing in you? How do you feel about the new thing that might be emerging? Are you excited, resistant, fearful, hopeful? Take whatever you are experiencing to prayer. Breathe deeply and listen around you. Where is the Spirit doing a new thing in your community? Pay attention to how it feels to discern the Spirit’s activity and presence within and around you.
