The Shawnee congregation is hosting this new class on Saturday, February 27 and March 26. Time for both days is 9:00 to 5:00. Please invite all in your congregation to this event. Those who have taken the previous scripture class will still benefit from this material.
Written by Tony & Charmaine Chvala Smith, this course, SS 400, is very useful in:
- Personal scripture study
- Planning small group scripture study
- Sermon preparation
- Worship planning
- Overall understanding of scripture
The class consists of several video presentations from Tony & Charmaine plus study and discussion time.
Cost is $30 for the book and Temple School credit. The books will be available around Feb. 8.
Please register with Vern Foster, vcf@fuse.net, and the book will be mailed to you, along with pre-class assignments. Checks should be payable to WOMC and may be brought to the first day of class.
We just finished the first class in the mission center this month. One participant responded “This course has definitely changed the way I prepare for sermons as well as read scripture.”
